Bojana Cvijic is a Bosnian journalist and writer based in San Jose, California. Her work focuses on how news and cultural intersections shape the views of readers. She is rooted in community action with a sharp eye for popular culture and trend evaluation, documenting the impact surrounding her local community.
Bojana holds her BA in Journalism from San Jose State University, where she was the executive editor of the Spartan Daily. Here, she helped transform the newspaper from a localized school paper to a wider community publication. Under her stewardship, the Daily received the general excellence award from the California News Publishers Association (CNPA) and the 2022-2023 Pacemaker award from the Associate Collegiate Press, while also placing second nationwide for general excellence from the College Media Association (CMA).
Individually, Bojana was recognized by three major associations for her column work on the Bay Area housing crisis, winning second place for best personal column by the CMA and the CNPA and the California College Media Association.
Most notably, she launched 3F Gallery, an experimental DIY art gallery in the heart of Japantown in San Jose, where she currently resides.
